I am the Lecturer in Media & Communications at The University of Melbourne, Australia, where I teach and research in media technologies and society.

Born in Guangzhou, China and grew up in Melbourne, Australia, I earned my PhD from Queensland University of Technology at Brisbane in 2015.
Dr Andrew Deuchar

Andrew conducts educational research related to international students and international education policy. He is especially interested in unsettling deficit approaches to international students by foregrounding their capacities and practices of care.
A central concern throughout Andrew’s work is fostering more inclusive, equitable, just and sustainable futures
Ms Wesa Chau
Co-investigator
Wesa Chau is an award-winning thought leader on cultural diversity and racism. Currently Director of Public Policy at Multicultural Leadership Initiative and serves on the Victorian Government Anti-Racism Taskforce.
She is also a qualitative researcher on cultural diversity and racism in leadership, philanthropy and diplomacy.
Dr Juerong Qiu
Research assistant
As a senior tutor at the Asia Institute at the University of Melbourne, I teach and research in translation and cross-cultural communication. I am also interested in the use of translation in the digital mediascape.
I am a native speaker of Mandarin and a fluent speaker of Cantonese.
